ISM Training will train your staff in the safe lifting and moving of individuals. This training aims to demonstrate to all participants the correct method used to handle and move patients (elderly/incapacitated) in a safe and comfortable manner, thus preventing any spinal injuries.
Our tutor is fully compliant with current Health and Safety legislation, SHW at Work (General App) Regulations 2007, Part 2 Workplace and Work Equipment, Chapter 4 “Manual Handling of Loads” and Amendment Regulations 2007.

Demonstrate how improper techniques can cause injury
Identify risk factors associated with patient handling
Apply the principles of safe lifting
Assess heavy or awkward loads
Understand the limitations of the spine and muscular system
