Location: Nationwide – Munster for Initial project

Company Description:
Our Client is one of Ireland’s leaders in construction and infrastructure. They are involved in improving Ireland’s national infrastructure, to local and regional projects that help build lasting communities.

Vacancy Overview:
The Client is currently looking for an experienced Site Engineer with 2-5 years utilities experience. It is a Pipe Support Remediation Project and it will be in the Munster Region initially. A strong utilities background is important.

Role purpose:
Management of planned and reactive maintenance, and construction project works on the Transmission gas network.

Key Accountabilities:
o To ensure works are planned and delivered to meet agreed targets.
o Ensure compliance with all statutory and company procedures across all the functions, H & S, QA and Environmental.

Key Responsibilities:
o Management and supervision of sub-contractors and direct resources.
o Maintaining accurate and detailed site records.
o Ensure works are planned and delivered in compliance with all statutory, industry and company procedures.
o Compile and return weekly commercial reports

Interacts with:
o Client Transmission and Systems Operations Engineers
o Gas Networks Ireland, Operation’s and Construction personnel
o HSEQ personnel
o Operational Mangers
o Subcontractors

Skills Required:
o Degree level in an engineering / construction related discipline desirable.
o A minimum of 2-5 years’ post graduate experience.
o The candidate should have experience in the design and construction management of above and below ground assets in the civil/utility industry.
o Ability to carry out site assessments, plan works and deliver works on programme.
o Ability to work as part of a team and achieve tight deadlines.
o Problem solving skills and decisive approach.
o Attention to detail and ability to comply with procedures and Quality Assurance Management Systems is essential
o Proficient in Microsoft Office packages such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
o Full clean driving licence

Salary and Benefits:
50-60K, dependant on experience
